As many fans are aware, Halestorm have a habit of releasing covers EPs between albums to help keep fans engaged as they work on new music. The details for their third EP in the ReAniMate series have now been revealed, with six new covers added to their catalog.

The band has already been playing a cover of Whitesnake's "Still of the Night" live and their studio version of the song can be heard in the player above. Meanwhile, the other five covers on the disc include fresh takes on Sophie B. Hawkins' "Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover," Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself for Loving You," Twenty One Pilots' "Heathens," Soundgarden's "Fell on Black Days" and Metallica's "Ride the Lightning."

The disc, due Jan. 6, is currently available to pre-order via iTunes and Amazon. "Still of the Night" is the first instant grat track available to those who pre-order now, and the band's cover of Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself for Loving You" will be available as an instant grat track on Dec. 30. You can also check out the EP artwork posted below.

"We are so excited to finally unleash our latest cover EP, ReAniMate 3," states Lzzy Hale. “On this EP we were inspired to push the limits and challenge the ears of our fans. There are some surprises that you may not have expected from us, and there are also things that you've always wanted to hear from us. We were so incredibly honored to work alongside producer Nick Raskulinecz. He truly helped us bring these songs to life and find a way to make them Halestorm’s.”

Having toured extensively through most of 2016, the band is currently enjoying a break from the road, but they will hit the stage on New Year's Eve in Christchurch, New Zealand, kicking off a tour Down Under that will include stops in New Zealand and Australia into mid-January. Stay up to date with their touring plans at this location.
