Hanson Member Isaac Hanson Says Kings Of Leon Are ‘Irritating’ Their Fans
Kings Of Leon’s decision to cancel their US tour has at least one fellow musician concerned for them.
The band recently announced it’s canceling the tour because singer Caleb Followill was suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion. That came after a July 29 Dallas show, where Followill stormed offstage and didn’t return, claiming it was too hot to perform – and then the band canceled the following night’s show in Houston. Bassist Jared Followill subsequently admitted, “There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.” Rumos have persisted that Caleb will check into rehab.
Hanson member Isaac Hanson cautioned Kings of Leon against continuing such behavior. He told WENN, “The Kings of Leon are running some risks. They’re irritating people and you can’t do that too much. Eventually the bad boy image affects fans’ willingness to show up. Their fans will get bummed out.”
Hanson acknowledged that band members can have their problems, but he feels Kings of Leon needs to get them under control. “Everybody has their demons, everyone has their challenges,” he said. “I’m a bit of a hothead in certain circumstances, but you’ve got to temper it because your fans are there and they’ve paid good money to see a show.”
