Backcountry boarder Elias Elhardt conquers wild nature only found in the depths of Alaska. It made for an epic GoPro video!

Backcountry skiing and snowboarding is, in and of itself, extremely dangerous. Normally, those who seek out that fresh powder end up finding it. The only down side is the extremely high risk of a deadly avalanche.

Just like water, snow is pretty dense. It surrounds you like a cocoon. It restricts your movements. Like the anaconda, every time you exhale, the snow tightens its grip as it settles. Before too long, not only can you not physically breathe.... the tight natural bond between snowflakes keep oxygen from getting to you. Even if you're a few inches below clear skies.

I have respect for those who do epic. We should all be that motivated.
