Is Fred Durst Firing Limp Bizkit Members DJ Lethal and John Otto?

Limp Bizkit
Mary Ouellette,

With a new record deal with Cash Money Records under his belt, Fred Durst apparently has a new vision for the future of Limp Bizkit and that vision does not seem to include original members DJ Lethal and drummer John Otto. While no one has officially been axed from the band just yet, TMZ reports that Durst told both parties that they didn’t necessarily fit into his master plan.

According to TMZ, Durst has been having issues with the two for a long time, citing that their partying habits are causing some internal problems. TMZ talked to DJ Lethal, who said, “We’ve worked together the last four years to bring Limp Bizkit back to where it is today … and to just be thrown out on the street after the band gets a new deal and a new chance at life isn’t cool.”

Lethal also commented on the integrity of the band if two of the original members got kicked out, explaining, “You can’t push away the people who helped you get there. The fans should know that if 2/5 of the original band are not playing at the concerts, it won’t be truthful to them.”

Durst has not yet commented on the possible shake-up so perhaps this is just a big misunderstanding. The last official update from the band was a short video clip featuring Durst and guitarist Wes Borland in the studio here.
