Today is the day that most military members look forward to. Really no matter which branch you are in, this is one of the most respected of all rivalry games around.  The 114th meeting of the Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen will kick off at 2:00 p.m. today. Currently the Midshipmen are riding on the high tide of a 11 game winning streak and hoping to make it 12 today.

Originating in 1890, the game is always played (with the exception of 2 games) at a location that is centrally located for the two service academies. The game today will be held in Philadelphia, where the weather is cold, cloudy, grey skies (Navy paint of course) and a good shot of snow showers.

Navy has the edge over their counterparts from West Point. 57 - 49 - 7. But make no mistake, even after the game is done, the two will join together in front of each teams cadets or midshipmen so the Alma Maters can be played. They may fight on the field, but will join together upon graduation.United in serving our country as commissioned officers in their respected branch!

So from this retired Sailor, I wish the best for the Midshipmen!  Bring home the Commander In Chief trophy again!
