When there's nothing good on TV and you have shows you want to get into or catch up on but don't know what, then let this list point you in the right direction.

This list is limited to what you can stream on the internet through legal means such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or some other legal site. This list will show series that are complete or currently on-going.

    House M.D.

This is actually a show I am currently re-watching (that and I also completely missed out on season 7). It features Hugh Laurie as Gregory House, a brilliant medical doctor who has a knack of figuring out medical mysteries that have other doctors stumped.

House is also a pain medication addict and often challenged and defies his fellow doctors and even hospital procedures to find the right diagnosis.

The series ended after it's eighth season in 2012.

    Attack On Titan

The series revolves around Eren Yeager and his friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert after their home was destroyed by the monstrous Titans.

The three friends then join the Scout Regiment to to fight and find a way to take out the Titans once and for all.

Only one season of the anime has come out with talks of possibly developing a second season. If you can't take the wait after season one's cliffhanger then you can pick up the manga series to continue the story.

    Sherlock

Benedict Cumberbatch plays Sherlock Holmes in the BBC's modern interpretation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's world famous detective.

The only downside to this series is the seasons are only 3 episodes long, but have a run time of about 90 mins per episode.

To further add to the short seasons, there is a two year waiting period in between seasons which makes finale cliffhangers that much more agonizing.

Sherlock aired it's third season earlier this year and have plans to begin filming the fourth season in 2015.

    The Walking Dead

Based on Robert Kirkman's comic of the same name, the series follows Rick Grimes who leads a group of fellow survivors in the zombie apocalypse.

Throughout the series Rick and his group are constantly challenged and it's not only the zombies they have to be aware of, but other survivors and even their own group.

The series is about to begin airing it's fifth season later this year. As of right now you can only catch the first three seasons on Netflix. As for season four, prepare to pay $42 on Amazon Prime if you want to try to catch up before season five premieres.

    Star Trek

This one I am not limiting to a specific series but rather everything that has the Star Trek name, with the exception of Deep Space Nine that series just plain sucked.

'Star Trek: The Original Series' and 'The Next Generation' follows the crew of the Federation starship, the U.S.S Enterprise as they explore new worlds and civilizations and boldly go where no man has gone before.

'Voyager' follows Captain Kathryn Janeway and her crew as she navigates through the Delta Quadrant after being sent there by a powerful energy wave from a piece of alien technology. The Voyager crew are truly going where no man has gone before.

There is also one more series titled 'Enterprise' which shows the beginnings of the Federation as they begin to explore the Alpha Quadrant.

    Breaking Bad

High school chemistry teacher Walter White (portrayed by Bryan Cranston) has been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. To make sure his family his financially secure, White turns to making crystal meth to give his family the money they need to live when cancer takes his life.

White seeks the assistance of former student Jesse Pinkman to help move his product and to go deeper into the drug world to gain more money.

A spin-off series is now in the works which will follow Walter's lawyer, Saul Goodman. The spin-off is said to covers events that are before, during and after 'Breaking Bad.'

'Breaking Bad' ended in 2013 after its fifth season.

    Doctor Who

The longest running TV series in history, 'Doctor Who' follows a Time Lord known only as The Doctor who flies around time and space in a ship known as The TARDIS.

Bringing various companions with him he travels to the past, present and future to take on various enemies such as the Daleks and the Cybermen.

The series celebrated is 50th anniversary last year and will begin a new season on August 23rd featuring Peter Capaldi who is the twelfth incarnation of the Time Lord.

    Supernatural

Sam and Dean Winchester travel around the U.S. taking on demons from hell and many other evil supernatural creatures.

From a personal journey of revenge, stopping the apocalypse and now taking on Heaven and Hell, these brothers just can't seem to shake off trouble.

The show just wrapped up it's ninth season and season 10 is set to premiere later this year.

    Fullmetal Alchemist

In a world where Alchemy reign supreme, the Elric brothers, Edward and Alphonse attempted to revive their dead mother. However, during the transmutation and the law of equivalent exchange to create their mother, Alphonse lost his entire body and Edward lost his arm and leg. To bring Alphonse back, Edward transmuted his brother's soul into a suit of armor.

Now the brothers search for the legendary Philosophers's Stone to recover Alphonse's body and Edward's lost limbs.

The second series 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood' follows the manga series more closely than the original anime series. I recommend watching both as the both series go more in depth with different areas of the story.
