The 2006 romantic comedy "The Break Up," which was about a couple, well, breaking up, was a huge hit at the box office for Jennifer Anistion.

It turns out it was also a therapeutic experience for the actress, who filmed the movie not long after her 2005 divorce from Brad Pitt.

Initially, the film's producers balked at asking Aniston to do the film, because they feared it would be hitting too close to home.

Not so, Aniston revealed to James Lipton on 'Inside the Actors Studio.' "I was like, why not? Turn the page, let's move on."

"I honestly felt like, what a great way to sort of exorcise some of that," Aniston said of making the movie, which she called "a beautiful human story about a couple breaking up."
