Joey Logano led 227 laps and won the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina on Sunday. With the victory, Logano automatically advanced to the third round of NASCAR's Chase playoff series for the Sprint Cup title.

Reigning champion Kevin Harvick finished second — nearly three-quarters of a second behind Logano. Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin and Kurt Busch rounded out the top five finishers.

The race was originally scheduled for Saturday night, but rain and cold temperatures forced postponement to Sunday afternoon. Conditions were sunny and mild throughout the day.

NASCAR’s 2015 Chase series will continue next Sunday at Kansas Speedway.
