Kings of Leon’s latest album title, ‘Mechanical Bull,’ takes on new meaning in their video for ‘Beautiful War.’ Throw in some actual bulls, cowboy hats, beer, jealousy and just a tiny bit of grandeur, and you get this seven-minute clip from the Nashville rockers.

The video follows our bearded protagonist on his journey toward redemption, following a night out with his lady and her brother that ends in tragedy. He gets that redemption after showing off his bull-riding prowess and giving a heartfelt apology to his beloved in the jail yard. Water under the bridge!

Ultimately, the new clip’s themes appear to be a literal take on ‘Beautiful War,’ in which frontman Caleb Followill sings, “Love don’t mean nothing / Unless there’s something worth fighting for.”
