The 2017 edition of Chicago Open Air rocked the Windy City over the weekend, and it featured a dream lineup for metal and hard rock fans. Day 1 took place Friday, July 14, and featured such big names as KISS, Rob Zombie, Megadeth and Anthrax, among others.

KISS were the night's headliner and played a full 18-song set for the Chicago Open Air crowd, kicking it off with "Deuce" and ending the night with "Rock and Roll All Nite," while playing other classics like "Shout It Out Loud" "Love Gun" and "God of Thunder in between.

Rob Zombie took the stage prior to KISS, and rocked songs of his most recent album, The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser, alongside hits like "Dragula" and "Living Dead Girl" and White Zombie classics like "More Human Than Human" and "Thunder Kiss '65"

Megadeth cranked out their recent Grammy-winning hit "Dystopia" and classics like "Symphony of Destruction" and the set-closer "Holy Wars...The Punishment Due," while fellow Big 4 thrashers Anthrax rocked favorites like "Antisocial," "Caught in a Mosh" and "Madhouse."

Day 1 also featured sets from Meshuggah, Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, Joey Jordison's band Vimic, Code Orange, Crobot and more.
