Korn’s Jonathan Davis: Upcoming Disc Is ‘By Far the Best Album We Have Ever Done’
Korn have just completed recording their 11th full-length album. The band's follow-up to their dubstep-influenced 2011 album, 'The Path of Totality,' will be their first in 10 years to feature guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch and has already been called "the best album we've ever done" by vocalist Jonathan Davis.
Just two weeks ago, Korn revealed that they were back in the studio to record a new album with Head. Apparently, Korn blasted through their new tracks like clockwork and have completed tracking the entire album. We're unsure of exactly how much, if any, dub step material will be featured in this new record, but Jonathan Davis tweeted out a promising message to his followers on May 13.
Perhaps the return of Brian 'Head' Welch ignited a spark in Korn which kickstarted the recording process into overdrive. "We knew we would have a blast playing together, because we love each other so much, but we really wanted to make sure the music felt right before we committed to making a whole album together," Welch tells Rolling Stone. "But since we got in the studio, everything just started pouring out, now I can't wait until our fans hear this stuff!"
Stay tuned for more news on the release of Korn's 11th studio album as further details are revealed.
