The concept art of the ill-fated Star Wars 1313 reveals the legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett was originally intended to be the game's protagonist.

LucasArts senior concept designer Gustavo Mendonca and Brazilian artist Bruno Werneck have released pieces of concept art they made for the early, pre-production phases of Star Wars 1313, CVG reports. Star Wars 1313 was one of the games indefinitely put on hold as Disney shut down longtime Star Wars game maker LucasArts in 2013 as it was included in its $4 billion purchase of LucasFilms. The development of Star Wars 1313 is presumed to be cancelled despite any representatives from either company ever releasing an official statement regarding the title's future. Gustavo Mendonca is now working at Microsoft's 343 Industries where he is using his artistic abilities for the development of the upcoming Halo game coming to Xbox One.

Star Wars 1313 was reported to star Boba Fett as its protagonist while a stand-in bounty hunter character was featured in its original teaser trailer. The game would have featured a young Boba Fett being trained as a Mandalorian warrior until he eventually switched from wearing the helmet of his father, Jango Fett, to the unforgettable green armor we first saw in 'The Empire Strikes Back.' 1313 was going to depict Fett's criminal and bounty-hunting escapades on level 1313 of Coruscant while fleshing out the iconic figure's backstory. We still hope that one day Disney decides to reignite the development of the project.
