It was not a tale told by an idiot, but much like Shakespeare's Macbeth, Friday night's scheduled game between the Lawton Wolverines and the Sepulpa Chieftains was "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing".

The Lawton Wolverines took the long 3-hour bus ride up I-44 to Sepulpa, only to run into rain along the way. Upon arriving in Sepulpa, the Wolverines were greeted by the news that the game was already under a rain delay, and would not begin until 30 minutes after its scheduled 7:30 kick-off time. Coaches and officials monitored radar and local weather reports, and after delaying the game twice more for 30 minutes each because of thunderstorm activity in the area, the game was finally called off right around 9pm. No make up date has been announced.

The Wolverines are on the road again this week, traveling to Oklahoma City Thursday Night to take on Putnam City West. Kick-off is at 7pm Thursday night, and you can catch all the action, starting with the Wolverine pre-game show starting at 6:30 on Z94 and z94.com.
