Linkin Park are one of the best in rock when it comes to breaking down that barrier between band and fan. The group has kept their LP Underground fan club thriving over the years with their frequent participation and dedication to building their fan base. One of the events that's helped foster that good will is the band's LPU summits, fan gatherings that take place all over the world with plenty of incentives for those in attendance. The group just revealed that the next one will take place in Hong Kong on Aug. 15.

The Hong Kong LPU Summit will be the band's ninth such event, following summits in cities such as London, Sydney, Chicago, Hamburg, Tokyo, Camden, Cape Town and Auckland. Some of the past summit activities have included meet-and-greets with the band, an invitation to soundchecks before a show, backstage tours, the opportunity to walk across the stage, raffles to watch the show from the side of the stage or take photos in the photo pit and so much more. The band has also provided auctions at the summits, with fans getting to bid on rare and/or signed memorabilia.

Passes for LPU Summit members are available beginning June 1 at this location, but you must be a member to qualify. If you are not a member of the LP Underground fan club, but wish to join, you may do so here.

Additional details about what the Hong Kong Summit will entail will be revealed in the coming weeks.
