With most of the core cast assembled (heh), Marvel and Joss Whedon's 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV series pilot is prepping to go before cameras next month with a story that's sure to be kept under wraps for months to come. We already knew that the 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV series wouldn't feature any of the core 'Avengers' in any regular role, but can the same be said of 'S.H.I.E.L.D.'s director himself, Nick Fury? Hear Samuel L. Jackson dish on his role in the 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV series inside!

It's going to be a long wait until the 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV series, recently confirmed by Marvel head Jeph Loeb to be targeting a fall 2013 release. There's plenty to speculate on between a cast that includes the fan-celebrated resurrection of Clark Gregg’s Agent Phil Coulson, ‘ER’ vet Ming-Na, Brett Dalton, Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker, but could Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury take part?

Jackson spoke to MTV on his potential involvement in the series, playing coy about confirmation but suggesting he could have some presence in the future:

I don't know. I keep hearing about it, and I haven't talked to Joss about it. But in my mind, I would tend to think that he would, if nothing else, be like Charlie in 'Charlie's Angels.' At least be the voice!

Considering the pilot shoots next month, it isn't certain if the pilot could still include a role for Jackson, but then again Marvel has managed to shoot secret cameos rather quickly in the past.

You can check out Jackson's comments on the 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV series, as well as his role in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' below, and tell us what you want to see from the 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV series in the comments!
