The lineup for the annual Neil Young Bridge School Benefit has been revealed and it includes Metallica and Cage the Elephant among the performers. This year's event will take place at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, Calif. the weekend of Oct. 22 and 23.

The Bridge School Benefit typically features bands playing stripped-down, acoustic performances for the audience, which should make for a unique experience for fans that are used to seeing Metallica and Cage the Elephant playing high energy, rocked out sets.

The benefit has become one of the highlights of the fall concert season, with Young always pulling in top notch talent to play. This year's lineup includes Metallica, Roger Waters, the Dave Matthews Band, My Morning Jacket, Willie Nelson, Cage the Elephant, Norah Jones, Case / Lang / Veirs and Young himself playing with Promise of the Real.

The Bridge School is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that individuals with severe speech and physical impairments achieve full participation in their communities through augmentative and alternate means of communication and assistive technology. The first Bridge School concert took place in 1986, and with the exception of the 1987 season, it has continued to be a staple of the concert calendar.

Tickets for the Bridge School Benefit go on sale Monday, Aug. 29. For more details and ticketing info, click here.
