Update: Metallica have confirmed that after their performance at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards is over, they will head over to the Hollywood Palladium for the show.

Metallica have already been confirmed for the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, but they will apparently be doing more than just playing the awards show on Feb. 12. The band will take the stage at the Hollywood Palladium as part of the weeklong launch of the new Citi Sound Vault platform.

Earlier this month, Metallica announced they would be playing the Grammys, explaining, "We have something very unique and special planned for this celebratory night." It is not known if Metallica's Grammy performance will be taking place via remote from the Palladium or whether the band will attempt to make appearances at two Los Angeles venues in the same night, since the Grammys are taking place at Staples Center.

As for the Citi Sound Vault, Citi is working in conjunction with Live Nation to launch the new live music platform that is curated exclusively for Citi Card Members. The five-night launch kicks off Feb. 8 and 9 with performances by Sting. Beck will be the featured Citi Sound Vault performance on Feb. 10, with pop superstars The Chainsmokers getting the Citi spotlight on Feb. 11 and Metallica finishing out the Citi Sound Vault launch week on Feb. 12. All of the shows will take place at the Hollywood Palladium.

The Citi Sound Vault will offer performances by major artists in intimate venues with meet and greets and backstage access available, making it more than just a ticket access experience for Citi Card users. Tickets will go on sale Jan. 31 at 10AM PT for the Beck, Chainsmokers and Metallica shows exclusively for Citi Card members at Live Nation's website. Check here for additional ticketing info. In addition, Citi card members have the opportunity to purchase a limited number of preferred general admission balcony seats to the Sting show on Feb. 8.
