Summer's on the way and looks like it's going to be one of the greatest concert season's we've seen in the past several years.

There's more bands on the road and tours going on than ever before! So far we have Ted Nugent, Buzzfest 2012, Rocklahoma, Mayhem Festival, Van Halen, Marilyn Manson, Kiss, Motley Crue and that's just to name a few! One of the most unusual tours is Metallica's 'Orion Music + More' festival.

Saturday and Sunday June 23rd and 24th at the Bader Field in Atlantic City New Jersey. With over 30 bands on the bill, a classic car show and according to James Hetfield more to be announced. The size of the festival is one thing but what makes this particular tour stand out is the diversity of the line-up with bands like: Metallica, Arctic Monkeys, Avenged Sevenfold, Cage the Elephant, The Sword, Suicidal Tendencies, Sepultura, Kyng and Thy Will Be Done. It's a melting-pot that features all types and genres of music from hard rock, metal, punk, mainstream rock and everything in between.

Metallica with headline the main stage both nights. On Saturday (06-23-12) they'll be playing the 'Black Album' in it's entirety in celebration of it's 20th anniversary, then on Sunday night (06-24-12) they'll play 'Ride The Lightning' all the way through.

This will be the only North American performances of the two albums so if you miss it, you'll miss it. I'm hoping they video the entire concert for a DVD release for those of us who are unable to make the trip, or provide a live stream of the event we can watch online or on pay per view.
