Out of the dark comes light, and out of Miss May I comes a dark new video for "Shadows Inside" that shines a light on their new album of the same name.

The clip is a darkly lit piece with jarring visuals mirroring the chaos of the song at hand. While much of the video is performance-based, there appears to be a special interest on a mask with hands reaching toward the object on several occasions.

Singer Levi Benton says of the track, "Not only does this song open up our new record, it also sets the tone for the record. This album is all about changes throughout life, good and bad. It's about the past that lives within everyone; their 'Shadows Inside.' The lyrics talk about how great new things can give light to your past and put you in a better place."

Continuing on, but speaking about the video, Benton adds, "We have quite a few videos and we're always trying to change things up. With this video for 'Shadows Inside' we not only wanted to recreate the cover of the record in real life, but we also wanted the performance to be abstract. We had black lights and used old lens effects from the '90s to achieve a very classic look and something totally different for us."

As stated, "Shadows Inside" is featured on the album of the same name. The disc is due June 2 via Sharptone Records. You can currently pre-order the set at this location. And check here to see Miss May I on tour supporting the disc.
