Mission South have been on the rise since the release of ‘Migration Vol. 2' -- the second installment in a trilogy of EPs -- earlier this year. The roots-rock trio from Washington, D.C., features Dan Miller (vocals, guitar), John Beck (bass) and Max Harwood (drums) -- childhood friends who have been on the road or in the studio since graduating from college in 2012.

‘Migration Vol. 1,’ earned Mission South high praise in the D.C. scene, and they reached No. 1 on the city's Independent Music Download Chart. They were also the runners-up in the Deli magazine’s poll for “Best Emerging Artist of 2012.”

The video for the 'Vol. 2' tune ‘Peaches,’ today’s free MP3 download, recently premiered on Fuse.tv, no doubt catching the eyes and ears of viewers who dig the the Black Keys and Dr. Dog. But according to Miller, the song has a universal message everyone can relate to.

“‘Peaches’ tempts the reader just like the perfectly ripened fruit,” the singer-guitarist told Diffuser.fm. “It’s seductive and bluntly confronts the difference between who you were yesterday and who you will be tomorrow.”
