The various members of Motley Crue have been talking about a definitive farewell tour for the past year, and now it appears as if they're set to make it official. A 'Save the Date' notice recently surfaced declaring 'R.I.P.: All Bad Things Must Come to and End' while mentioning an event set for Jan. 28 in Los Angeles.

It's no secret that the legendary rock band has been planning a farewell, with bassist Nikki Sixx mentioning numerous times that when the band calls it quits, it will be for real. In fact, when we interviewed Sixx at last year's NAMM conference in Anaheim, Calif., he told us, "We haven’t been shy that Motley Crue has been talking about somewhere in the near future doing a farewell tour," said Sixx at the time. "I think it’s just at some point we want to leave it with some sort of a legacy that’s leaving it in a good way. I just see some bands that keep f—ing beating a dead horse and I’m like, ‘Get off the horse, dude, it’s dead.’"

His comments have since been backed up by drummer Tommy Lee and singer Vince Neil, with Neil telling Billboard.com, "I think we'll start the tour around May — I'm just kind of guessing on that, but in the spring of '14 — and we'll do one more time around the world and kinda call it quits. It's just that time. We're going out on top."

Thus far, no other details are known other than what appears what is written on the 'Save the Date' image below. We'll keep you informed as more news develops.
