After months spent in limbo, fans of The CW's 'Nikita' were overjoyed to learn yesterday that their favorite division spies would indeed return for a fourth season, along with a second season of 'Sex and the City' prequel 'The Carrie Diaries." The CW won't release its full episode order and schedule until next week, but for how many episodes can we expect 'Nikita' back? And will it prove the final season?

Good to bad news, 'Nikita' fans, even after the announcement from yesterday that the Maggie Q-fronted drama would indeed return for a fourth season. Where initially the shortened season order was expected to be somewhere between six and 10 episodes, TVLine has seemingly confirmed that 'Nikita' season 4 will consist of six final installments to wrap up the Division saga.

Not only that, but the six-episode order will almost undoubtedly prove the show's last, in spite of its rich international distribution. The news isn't all bad, however, as a shortened season of 'Nikita' will allow showrunner Craig Silverstein to focus on his new Revolutionary War series 'Turn' for AMC, should it go to series.
