In what might be the fastest moving popular trend in running since the 5k fun run, the Beer Mile is officially a 'thing' across America. Oklahoma is diving deep on this new tradition.

It's going down Saturday, October 15th at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in OKC. You'll drink a beer each lap until you finish. Then organizers have detailed out a pretty epic after-party. Advertising an open beer bar for all participants, live music, plus food and fun from sponsors and vendors signed up for this event.

Like most events, it pays to get in early. While I'm currently writing this up, the 'early bird' price to run your beer mile is $35. If you wait too long and walk up, it's a steep $55, though, if you get a group together, you can cut that price down a little bit.

Check in starts at noon, race begins at 1, and all the other details you'll need can be found on the official National Beer Run website.
