Now here's a pairing we can get behind! Metal titans Opeth and Gojira will team up for a brief U.S. tour this coming May!

The tour will hit nine cities, starting in Nashville, Tenn. on May 4 at the War Memorial Auditorium and then hitting Concord, N.C., Philadelphia, Sayreville, N.J., Chicago, Morrison, Colo., Kansas City, and Indianapolis.

Opeth have enjoyed a banner year with their Sorceress album, which was released back in September. The disc has generated such standout tracks as "Will O the Wisp," "The Wilde Flowers" and the title track.

Meanwhile, Gojira just earned a pair of GRAMMY nominations for Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Album. The band's Magma disc was released in June, featuring the songs "Stranded" and the GRAMMY-nominated "Silvera."
