Pre-orders for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax has just gone live as we have also found out about its official pricing and potential release date.

Joystiq reports that Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is being priced at $59.99 (were we really expecting anything else?), and has just become available for pre-order. Ultimax acts a sequel to Persona 4 Arena, which was released in 2012. The main changes is that a few new characters will be joining the mix, such as Rise Kujikawa from Persona 4 along with Junpei Iori and Yukari Takeba of Persona 3. Pre-orders for Arena Ultimax are now available at Newegg, Amazon, EB Games, GameStop and Video Games Plus along with bigger retail chains such as Best Buy.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be debuting on PlayStation 3 first in Japan on Aug 28. Along with its Japanese Xbox 360 release, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is expected to make its Western release sometime this fall along with Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. GameStop, Amazon and many other retailers have listed Arena Ultimax to have a North American launch date of Sept. 30.
