It's a good week for first-person shooter enthusiasts now that PlayStation 3 is getting a free trial of Battlefield 4.

DICE has announced on the PlayStation Blog that PlayStation Plus members in North America will be getting almost a full in-game day with Battlefield 4. A trial version of Battlefield 4 is available for a free download on the PlayStation Store. The trial version contains Battlefield 4's base game (sans expansions) and will be available for 20 full hours from the moment you load the game for the first time on your PlayStation 3.

PlayStation Plus subscribers just need to find Battlefield 4 on the PlayStation 4 and locate the trial version from the list of Battlefield 4-related downloads. Battlefield 4's insane multiplayer will be available in its full capacity, which includes jet, helicopter, boat and tank-based warfare on a massive scale along with many environment-destroying explosions.

If you want to keep playing after those 20 hours though, you'll have to pay for the full game unlock to enjoy more of what the Frostbite 3.0 engine has to offer.
