In addition to the big stories we covered today, Wire-to-Wire provides you with some of the other key rock and metal news items from Oct. 5, 2017:

– During a chat with Michigan station WRIF, the members of Pop Evil revealed they are tentatively looking at February for the release of their next album, with a potential single arriving by Halloween. Watch the interview here.

– Loudwire’s October 2017 Release of the Month winners The Black Dahlia Murder have one more song to share before their Nightbringers album officially arrives tomorrow. Take a listen for the high energy, fast-paced rocker “Kings of the Nightworld” here.

Steven Tyler, who recently cut short Aerosmith‘s South American touring due to unexpected medical issues, will return to the stage Oct. 21 at the David Foster Foundation’s 30th Anniversary Miracle Gala and Concert at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena. This year’s event also features Jay Leno, Robin Thicke and more. Get details here.

Toadies are back with their latest album The Lower Side of Uptown, and they’ve turned to artist Clay Stinnett and animator Devin Ensz for a really cool new animated video for “Broke Down Stupid.” The band’s own Clark Vogeler edited the video, which can be seen here.

The Dark Element, who recently premiered their video for “My Sweet Mystery” here at Loudwire, have another new song to share. Take a listen to “Here’s to You” from the band’s self-titled album (due Nov. 10) right here. The band features singer Anette Olzon and guitarist Jani Liimatainen.

Weezer continue to keep fans well prepped for their Pacific Daydream album, coming Oct. 27. The group just unveiled a new video for the poppy new track “Weekend Woman” that can be seen here.
