A good time for a great cause! Do your part in supporting the Lawton, Ft. Sill community by joining Z94 at the Project X Festival, a live music and extreme sports exhibition on Saturday, August 17, 2013 (08-17-13) at the McMahon Memorial skate-park.

Project X is a movement that is bringing the community together to help build a new skate-park for local youth. “Together…We Are Lawton”, a group of individuals seeking change in the community, has partnered with the Recreation Division of the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Lawton to present a skateboard exhibition and music festival.

The event will feature spectacular performances by Freestyle Motor Cross professional Jimmie McGuire and professional skateboarder Darren Harper and Levi Ahdosy along with the musical talents of several local artists. There will also be a number of food and drink vendors.

Along with the X-Treme sports exhibition the festival will feature different types and styles of music from Rock, Hip Hop, Country, R&B, even Gospel! This “Unity Concert”, as it’s being called, will bring together local artists from all areas of the musical spectrum. For Rock we’ll be seeing Komatryp, In Honor and the Southern Heretics. The Country bands include Ken Morrow & The Hired Guns along with the Kyle Stallings Band. For R&B Adott Mitch, Triston For Dummies and Shake Fontane will be there. The Hip Hop artists that are listed are Phill Mac, Mista Duggins and Korey Mo3. There’s going to be some Gospel as well from DES, Alpha Team and Decree.
