Prepare for your heart to explode.

Meet Brutus. He's a two-year-old Rottweiler in Colorado who wound up an amputee after getting frostbite on each of his paws. He received a prosthetic device for each leg and been placed under the care of a foster parent while he learns to walk again.

Now that he's been outfitted with the prostheses, he has to undergo physical therapy.

You can bet everyone will be rooting him on.

How foster owner, Laura Aquilina, has high hopes for the Brutus and the prosthetics. "He’s able walk in them. It's not always pretty. We want to be able to give him a higher functioning, where he can run and play with other dogs, and go on hikes."

He's gotten this far, so here's hoping Brutus keeps going strong.
