Last year it was confirmed that legendary thrashers Dark Angel would be reuniting, and now the band has issued a video talking about it (watch above). You can also watch some brief rehearsal footage below.

No specific details on shows are revealed, but drummer Gene Hoglan says in the video that they are "stoked to be playing shows all over the planet." He says that 2014 is going to be a great year for Dark Angel, and 2015, too.

Hoglan also posted this message on Dark Angel's Facebook page: “Hey everybody, just to let you know, Dark F--kin Angel has been working real hard behind the scenes, and I can’t tell you enough how happy we are to bring this beast back to the fans. I’ll admit before the rehearsals I really didn’t know what to expect, but let me tell you, you to will be as stoked as I am. We Have Returned!”

The 2014 lineup of Dark Angel includes Hoglan, vocalist Ron Rinehart, guitarists Jim Durkin and Eric Meyer and bassist Michael Gonzalez. All but Durkin (who was on the band's first three albums) appeared on Dark Angel's last studio album, 1991's 'Time Does Not Heal.'

Although we don't know Dark Angel's full concert schedule yet, we do know they are set to play Maryland Deathfest in May. They are also on the bill for Santiago, Chile's The Metal Fest on April 26 along with Sweden Rock in June and August's Jalometalii Metal Music Festival in Finland.
