The band worked with director Daniel Carberry - who previously collaborated with the likes of Skylar Grey and R3HAB - in an effort to capture the relationship between a grandfather and his granddaughter. "When you hear it you might hear a kind of classic love-and-loss-like love song ... but the song actually is about becoming a parent," Rise Against frontman Tim McIlrath recently said when he appeared on the 2 Hours with Matt Pinfield podcast. And this is an incredible challenge that's at the same time worth it."
Next month, Rise Against will tour Australia and New Zealand beginning Feb. 8, followed by a European run in June which will see them play Hellfest in France, Rock AM Ring in Germany, Download Festival in Spain, Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium and the Greenfield Festival in Switzerland. Sandwiched in between are a pair of U.S. dates -- Feb. 22 at The Republik in Honolulu, Hawaii and a headline performance at the Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival, which will be held May 26-28 in Las Vegas.
