First off, congrats are in order for Alter Bridge, as “My Champion” completed a run of five straight victories in the Loudwire Cage Match and they’re now off to the Cage Match Hall of Fame. That means there’s room for two fresh entries this week and it’s a matchup of rising U.K. bands.

On one side, we’ve got the duo Royal Blood and their current hit single “Lights Out” off the How Did We Get So Dark? album. The raw rocker chugs along through the verses, with a powerful chorus featuring sharp licks and beats and its certainly deserving of the play it’s been getting.

On the other side, we’ve got As Lions and their current hit “Aftermath.” The track starts off as a driving rocker before pulling back to more melodic territory in the verses prior to Austin Dickinson delivering a more anthemic chorus. It’s featured on the band’s Selfish Age album and is off to a solid start for the group.

So here we go with two of the U.K.’s top up-and-coming acts, but only one can win. Listen to Royal Blood’s “Lights Out” and As Lions’ “Aftermath” in the players below, then let us know which song you want to advance by voting in the poll provided.

(This Cage Match will run through June 19 at 2PM ET. Fans can vote once per hour! So come back and vote often to make sure your favorite song wins!)

Royal Blood, “Lights Out”

As Lions, “Aftermath”

Rules of Cage Match:
Fans can vote once per hour for their favorite song. If a song remains the reigning champ for five straight Cage Matches, it is retired to the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame. With so many great songs out there, we have to give other bands a chance!
