Scott Stapp is our guest for Loudwire Podcast Episode 19! In this podcast preview, Stapp reveals that in his mind, Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell is the best pure rock singer to ever step up to a mic.

In this episode of the Loudwire Podcast, our main topics with Scott Stapp will be Art of Anarchy’s new album, The Madness, and Stapp’s remarkable recovery over the last couple of years. The former Creed frontman has seemingly bounced back from his bipolar and drug-induced episodes, now attending meetings five days a week and putting his energy back into his family and music.

In this upcoming podcast’s edition of ‘Rocker vs. Writer,’ we debate the greatest pure rock singer with Stapp. As a huge fan of Led Zeppelin, we assumed Stapp would choose Robert Plant, but Scott went with a modern legend.

“He can do so many different things to evoke emotion,” Stapp raved. “From the soulfulness, to the top end of his range when he gets metal and aggressive, to his choice of melodies and how the melody in itself, despite what he’s saying, can incite emotion. I think he’ll go down in history as one of the greats.”

Loudwire Podcast #19 with Scott Stapp will become available April 20 on YouTube and iTunes! Art of Anarchy's The Madness is available now so be sure to check it out!
