While Guns N' Roses fans continue to speculate over a potential reunion featuring classic members, fellow musicians are predicting a comeback for the band. The latest to predict a rebooted Guns N' Roses is Scott Weiland, who also claimed Slash's ex-wife put the breaks on a Velvet Revolver reunion.

Latest speculation over a GN'R reunion began to bubble up after guitarists DJ Ashba and Bumblefoot made their exit from the group earlier this year. A report that Slash and Axl Rose were apparently on friendly terms again fueled speculation further, with classic drummer Steven Adler and current GN'R bassist Tommy Stinson both hoping the Appetite for Destruction lineup will reunite.

When asked by Alternative Nation about his 2006 feud with Axl Rose, Scott Weiland shared his own speculation. “I remember a little bit about it," Weiland said. "There was a little going back and forth between the two of us at the time, but I think that Guns N’ Roses are getting back together." When pressed on what he knows about the potential reunion, Weiland answered, "I just heard that," before adding, "I think Slash is actually a bigger star right now than Axl.” Weiland's current bassist Tommy Black added that they've heard rumors of a GN'R reconciliation.

As for a Velvet Revolver reunion that Weiland predicted would happen following a one-off charity gig in 2012, he says Slash's ex-wife stopped it from happening, “We did a show together, and there was talk about us getting back together, but Perla, Slash’s ex-wife, kind of put the kibosh on everything … As far as getting back together, I thought at the time we would get back together and do a tour.”

Guns N' Roses still haven't announced plans to replace Ashba and Bumblefoot, so stay tuned to Loudwire for all your GN'R updates.
