In Part 1 of our interview with Sevendust, singer Lajon Witherspoon, bassist Vince Hornsby and drummer Morgan Rose spoke about their latest experience on ShipRocked 2014 and their forthcoming acoustic tour. In Part 2 of our interview (watch above), the band talks about their upcoming acoustic album and more.

The guys share their gratitude to their fans for their efforts in funding their upcoming acoustic album ‘Time Travelers & Bonfires.’ They were still surprised as they talked about hitting their goal number number in hours. Sevendust recorded the new disc at Architekt Studio in Butler, N.J. Witherspoon says that the album is not “traditional acoustic” and judging from their live acoustic performance on ShipRocked, the album will surprise a lot of fans both old and new.

When describing the recording process, drummer Morgan Rose states that he and the members  wanted to “Weird these songs out a little bit.” Rose continues, “We did a few songs where people won’t know what they are until it gets into the chorus.” Check out Part 2 of our ShipRocked interview with Lajon Witherspoon, Vinnie Hornsby and Morgan Rose above.
