Last year, a challenge was issued on an internet rumor. Can you really hydro-dip at home with a little spray paint and a tub of water? We were all shocked how good this turned out.

Local Oklahoma Maker Matt from BlueDogGarage is always up for a challenge. His YouTube channel is a veritable 'how-to' on a multitude of DIY topics. From building affordable versions of expensive tools to custom painting techniques made easy, his channel has a ton of great creative content.

In his hydro-dip series, he not only shares tips and tricks to getting great results, but he starts at the very beginning, experiencing this as a 'first timer' and growing into a seasoned pro.

It literally only take a $5 plastic tub, a little water, and a good selection of contrasting spray paint colors. There's nothing special about the paint either. You can pull this off with the cheapest 99cent can of the good stuff. So long as you have contrasting colors, it should turn out awesome.

With a little practice, and a good Euro mount, you should be well on your way to DIY epicness yourself.
