Slash Putting Together Ideas for His Band’s Next Studio Album
Just because Slash's recent touring is coming to an end and Myles Kennedy is heading back to Alter Bridge, that doesn't mean the creative process stops. In fact, the guitarist confirmed via Twitter that he's already thinking about the follow-up to 'Apocalyptic Love.'
In a recent tweet, Slash revealed, "Coming up with a lot of cool s--- for new songs and a ton of cool ideas recorded from the tour. Going to start putting them together." It wasn't long before there was a follow-up tweet, no doubt to assuage the fears of Alter Bridge fans and clear up any confusion about Kennedy's involvement in his recent creative flow. The guitarist followed by stating, "AB fans have no cause for worry. They will soon release a new CD and tour this year. I will catch Myles on the flip side."
Aside from a new album, Slash has kept himself quite busy of late. He recently created his own version of the 'Angry Birds' theme song and the creators also animated the rocker into a 'Slashbird' character. He's also confirmed his participation in the 'Band Fuse: Rock Legends' video game.
In non-video game work, Slash also lent his skills to creating the musical score for the horror flick 'Nothing to Fear,' which comes from his own Slasher Films production company.
