While you were focusing on the Super Bowl over the weekend, Slash was hard at work — and all that dedication paid off with a brand new video and completed tracks for his next studio album.

Slash took to Twitter to let fans know about his “busy fn’ weekend” which included finishing the recordings for his next solo LP, as well as filming a video for an older track — ‘Gotten,’ from his 2010 self-titled effort — with Maroon 5′s Adam Levine.

According to Slash, the ‘Gotten’ video is part of a charity outreach effort to support the LA Youth Network; no word yet on how it’ll benefit the organization or when it’ll be released.

Meanwhile, Slash’s next disc — which is still waiting for a title — appears set for a May release, and will include contributions from Alter Bridge vocalist Myles Kennedy, Sin City Sinners bassist Todd Kerns, ex-Alice Cooper drummer Brent Fitz, and rhythm guitarist Bobby Schneck.

So far, a handful of song titles have been revealed, including ‘Halo,’ ‘Standing in the Sun’ and ‘Bad Rain.’
