Slayer have been a bunch of busy fellows lately. Drummer Dave Lombardo took to Facebook to issue a progress report and update fans on Slayer’s twelfth studio album, which will be their first since 2009′s ‘World Painted Blood.’ Grab a change of drawers, because it’s going to be good.

Lombardo referenced guitarist Kerry King in the following Facebook update:

“The King and I have seven kick ass songs for you so far, you’re going to soil your pants!!!!”

When it comes to Slayer, soiling one’s undergarments is a good thing because it means the music is so terrifyingly brutal that you’ve lost control of your bodily functions. That’s the hallmark of quality metal.

The band plans to hit the studio next month to record these seven ‘kick-ass’ songs and more.

Guitarist Kerry King recently opened up to Metal Hammer about the songwriting process, promising that the new music will be “refreshing and energetic.” He also confirmed that “the songs are shaping up in the classic Slayer style. You won’t be hearing us doing acoustic stuff.”

Slayer acoustic? Now that would be blasphemy!
