It's official: Sleeping With Sirens will return to their heavy roots in 2019. Yesterday (Dec. 14), we reported on an Instagram post from Matt Good (From First to Last) which showed himself in the studio with Sleeping frontman Kellin Quinn. He captioned the picture, "Just created some insane fire with @kellinquinn."

In the comments of the post, Good replied to a fan asking if he was producing Sleeping's next album, to which he responded, "We just did one song last night and I can’t say much but they’re working with extremely talented people and it’s really, really cool."

That fan wrote back, claiming to have a friend that works at MDDN (the Good Charlotte-led management company that Sleeping is signed to), who has allegedly heard clips of the band's new music and called it "really good and really heavy." See screenshots of the comment transaction below.

After we ran our story, multiple members confirmed it on Twitter. First was guitarist Jack Fowler, who quoted our tweet and wrote, "We are fuckin back babyyyyyyy, heavier and better than ever."

Next came Nick Martin, who simply added a devil horns emoji.

Then the band's twitter account added a stopwatch emoji.

Quinn, on the other hand, not only retweeted our tweet, but also replied to another fan who claimed to have heard the new music.

Sleeping received backlash from fans due to the mainstream nature of their last album, Gossip. It was their first as a major label group, having signed to Warned Bros. before the release. Gossip debuted at No. 38 on the Billboard Top 200 chart - a 25 position drop from the No. 13 debut of their previous album, Madness.
