Someone Managed To DIY Elon Musk’s Flamethrower For $20

From the moment The Boring Company's flamethrower was released, people started doing it cheaper. Last week, the So I Had An Idea... YouTube channel managed to make a really close clone for a little over $200, using really good quality parts. The guy in the video above managed it for under $20, and as you'll see, it looks like it... but that's not the point.

The saying goes 'When you buy cheap, expect cheap.' and there's no denying it here. It looks pretty bad, but it works like it should. Proving only that you can DIY just about anything on any budget.

To better prove that point, here's another flamethrower DIY'er that made his for under $15. Ugly, yes... But it works. The fun isn't always about the end result, it's about the journey getting there.
