The latest clip from 'Star Trek Into Darkness' is the most intense yet, showing a confrontation between a heated Captain Kirk and his prisoner, the terrorist John Harrison.

The previous footage from J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek' sequel has understandably displayed some of the movie's riveting action -- if you missed them, watch Kirk and crew maneuver a ship through some dangerous terrain here, and Spock's potentially fatal visit to a volcano here -- but the latest scene is something different.

Here we see Kirk (Chris Pine), angrier than we've ever witnessed before, confront an imprisoned John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch), who just committed some very heinous crimes. For his part, Harrison is calm, rational and, one could say, in complete control of the situation; Kirk is one step away from murdering the man. We all know Kirk's emotions get the best of him sometimes, and that character flaw appears to be playing right into the terrorist's hands.

We've only got a few weeks left, so hang in there: 'Star Trek Into Darkness' opens on May 17.
