Stone Sour Unveil Artwork for Upcoming Album ‘House of Gold & Bones Part 2′
The anticipation level for Stone Sour's 'House of Gold & Bones Part 2' just built up more steam with the unveiling of the second album's artwork. The band revealed the new cover via an Instagram photo posted via their Twitter account, as well as on their Facebook page.
The cover, seen to the left, shows a few mysterious figures submerged in water, with one of them appearing to be engulfed in flames.
Loudwire recently caught up with singer Corey Taylor, who offered a little more insight as to how 'House of Gold & Bones Part 2' will both tie in and still distinguish itself from the first album. Taylor explained, "Part 1 is a really really great, like hard rock album. It's got wonderful layers to it. But Part 2, in a lot of ways, is darker. It's heavier and it gets more complex. It's probably the most experimental we've ever been with our music."
The vocalist went on to add about the forthcoming release, "It flows more like a soundtrack to a movie than Part 1 does, cause part one kind of sets the tone and Part 2 kind of finishes the story in a great way. It follows the narrative a lot more and it just feels like some kind of cinematic vibe which is kind of what we were going for."
Stone Sour are currently on the road with Papa Roach, building up to the April release of their 'House of Gold & Bones Part 2' disc. Check out our review and gallery of their recent New York City gig here.
