Street Fighter 5 - Teaser by VersusFightingTV

Update:

Capcom is pulling the trailers off of YouTube, but we found one off of Dailymotion, which may eventually be pulled down as well.

Original Story:

Capcom boldly takes a side in the current-gen console war by making Street Fighter V a PlayStation 4 and PC exclusive.

Kotaku reports that the debut trailer for Street Fighter V was leaked online prior to the PlayStation Experience convention this weekend, where we expect it would make its official debut. NeoGAF user UnluckyKate found the footage and posted the provided GIFs of this new Capcom Fighter. Capcom has been cracking down on the trailer online, but the video paid homage to all the memories we have gotten from the Street Fighter brand across the decades. The video puts a focus on the fighting game community, the epic intro to the original arcade classic, tournaments, epic comebacks (Daigo vs. Justin Wong in Street Fighter III!), and all kinds of footage across all the other games of the franchise. More importantly, we got to see a few seconds of Ryu fighting Chun-Li in the new Street Fighter V engine, which looks like a darker and cleaner version of SFIV's graphics.

Then came the big shocker at the end of the video: Street Fighter V will be exclusive to the PC and PlayStation 4 formats. Sorry, Xbox. Unfortunately, not many details of this new game were revealed in this trailer besides the console exclusivity and the few seconds of actual footage. Stay tuned as we'll provide more coverage on Street Fighter V once more information is available.
