Every year, the family and I like to hit the metro-plex and have a little summer fun. Six Flags over Texas is the main attraction for our rowdy bunch, but is it safe?

If you remember, a few years ago Six Flags replaced my beloved all-wood Texas Giant got a steel facelift to better accommodate passengers who craved a smoother ride (aka - pansies)  In the process, a new steel system was meshed into the existing structure, and it still kept up the badassery-factor for all seeking thrills... until one woman fell out of her restraints and plumetted to her death.

It really was a sad deal, but one that could have been avoided. Luckily, engineers went to work and came up with a little redundancy for the ride to make it safe again. Now, I haven't personally had a ride on it since, but I'm starting to think this just might be the summer.
