In the wake of the tragic bombings at the Boston Marathon on April 15, the local community has sprung into action, raising funds for those impacted by the devastation. Now, several bands with ties to the bay state are stepping up to participate in the ‘Boston Strong: An Evening of Support and Celebration’ benefit show on May 30 at the TD Garden, with net ticket proceeds donated to The One Fund Boston.

Last week's 'Band to Band Combat' was another ass kickin' match up! An epic Heavy Weight battle royal between Kiss and Aerosmith. Both bands came to fight and didn't disappoint. In the end Kiss ruled the Rocktagon with a solid win taking out Aerosmith with an incredible 84.62% of the vote! With an official record now of (2-0) Kiss moves on to take on another artist this week in their quest to a Heavy Weight tile!

The band’s latest in-studio video offers a glimpse of what appears to be one of the new songs in progress, with guitarist Joe Perry playing a blues riff while vocalist Steven Tyler works out a beat on the drums.

Anything can happen in the wild world of Aerosmith, so this news is subject to change until the record is actually in stores, but it looks like the band is back in the studio with Jack Douglas -- the legendary producer who helmed their classic '70s albums.

In a video message, bassist Tom Hamilton broke the news, calling Douglas “the guy who we worked with producing our best albums of the ’70s" and promising, "It’s really going to be cool. no one who knows more about the soul of this band and the creative heart of this band."
