The Monster Energy Welcome to Rockville festival returns to Jacksonville, Fla., for its third year with a hard-rocking lineup headlined by Alice in Chains and hometown heroes Limp Bizkit. The festival has expanded to two days -- April 27 and 28 at Jacksonville's Metropolitan Park along the St. Johns River.
As excitement for Alice in Chains' 2013 as-yet-untitled album continues to build, fans have been gifted with more good news from the band. Alice in Chains have just announced a month-long U.S. tour beginning in Miami Beach, Fla., on April 25.
Alice in Chains have returned with new music and acclaimed director Roboshobo is helping them bring some imagery to their latest single, 'Hollow.' The band just debuted the official video for the song, focusing on the gradual deterioration of an isolated scientist's mental state (watch below).
After spending a good portion of the year in the studio recording the upcoming Alice in Chains album, singer-guitarist Jerry Cantrell is in the mood to get out and play. Cantrell was a surprise guest of the Walking Papers during their performance at the Crocodile Café in Seattle Saturday night (Dec. 15).
There's just a few more days to wait until Alice in Chains issue their new single 'Hollow' in full, but for now, fans can get their first taste of the track by checking out a song snippet that's been posted on Amazon.
Alice in Chains recently broke the good news that their new album is finally complete. The process took a little longer than expected with Jerry Cantrell needing a break for shoulder surgery in the midst of writing and recording the music, but things are now back on track for the rockers and they've got a little Holiday surprise in store for fans.
Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell has confirmed that the band recently finished recording their new album, due out in 2013. Rock bands covering songs by other acts is not really out of the ordinary, but something that doesn't happen everyday is a pair of rock bands teaming up on a cover. That was the case recently for hard rocking outfits Hurt and Smile Empty Soul, who found themselves spending a November day in Michigan covering the Alice in Chains classic 'No Excuses.'
Sammy Hagar knows how to throw a bash, and it helps when you make sure that Alice in Chains singer-guitarist Jerry Cantrell is on the guest list. Cantrell made a guest appearance at Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina (Oct. 13) to take part in Hagar's 65th birthday celebration.
