As a result of the win, the 13th-seeded Explorers (22-9) will play fourth-seeded Kansas State in the West Regional in Kansas City on Friday afternoon

Boise State Leads Pack of Schools Joining Big East

After months of “will they or won’t they” closed door negotiations, the Big East announced Wednesday that Boise State, Houston, Southern Methodist, San Diego State and Central Florida will be joining the conference in 2013.

With the conference now stretching coast to coast, Big East Commissioner John Marinatto said the Big East will be the “first truly national college football conference.”

NCAA Places Boise State on Three Years' Probation

The Boise State football program has been placed on three years’ probation and stripped of nine scholarships (three each for the next three years) after being hit with NCAA sanctions for repeated rules violations regarding extra benefits for recruits and players.
