Tom Morello to Fill In for Steven Van Zandt on Bruce Springsteen's Australian Tour

Tom Morello may not be rocking with Rage Against the Machine at the moment, but the guitarist has found another tour that will keep him occupied. Morello has agreed to play in Bruce Springsteen's band for their upcoming Australian tour while regular guitarist Steven Van Zandt (above, right) takes a break to shoot episodes of his television series 'Lilyhammer.'

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are about to put a little more rage in their sound. Come March, when the group tours Australia, ex-Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello will fill in for longtime member Steven Van Zandt, who's busy shooting the TV series 'Lilyhammer.'

Late last month, Sting joined Lady Gaga onstage in Las Vegas during her iHeartRadio Music Festival set.

On Saturday, Gaga returned the favor, dropping by New York’s Beacon Theatre for a show that marked Sting’s 60th birthday and his 25 years as a solo artist.

But Gaga wasn’t the only star who showed some love for Sting: Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder and Black Eyed Peas main man Will.i.am were among the other big names who came to jam on Sting and Police songs.

A busker playing guitar for spare change in Boston’s Public Gardens got a quite a shock when music legend Bruce Springsteen approached him yesterday, and asked if he could borrow his instrument. Bruce then began strumming a tune for the passersby, with a huge grin on his face. Speculation is that Springsteen was in Boston dropping son Evan off at Boston College.

No word on how much The Boss collected in tips.
