It's superhero news mania over at Comic-Con 2014, and ahead of tomorrow's official Marvel Studios panel in Hall H comes word that director James Gunn will indeed be returning to write and direct a 'Guardians of the Galaxy' sequel -- as if it could happen any other way.

The ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ will have some major company later on this year when ‘Agent Carter’ comes to ABC, but what other tantalizing secrets does the Marvel TV panel at Comic-Con 2014 hold? One of the shows we're looking forward to most is Marvel's new 'Agent Carter' series, based on the character from the 'Captain America' films. At the Marvel TV panel this evening at Comic-Con 2014, the studio revealed that 'Agent Carter' will definitely have some familiar help behind the scenes as 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' directors Joe and Anthony Russo will direct two episodes, while Marvel co-president Louis D'Esposito will handle the pilot.

Although we won't see the official 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' panel at Comic-Con 2014 until tomorrow, we do have a bit of early news regarding the Warner Bros. and DC movie universe: 'Batman v Superman' writer Chris Terrio has been set to write the script for Zack Snyder's 'Justice League' movie. Big surprise, right?

Just when it seemed that Marvel's 'Ant-Man' was getting back on track after all that Edgar Wright-exiting and replacement director-searching, it appears that the Peyton Reed production has been hit with another major setback. Deadline reports that Patrick Wilson, Matt Gerald, and Kevin Weisman have all dropped out of the film, scheduled to go into production later this year. With Marvel set to hit Hall H tomorrow for one of their always-impressive Comic-Con presentations, it sure sounds like the 'Ant-Man' table will be unexpectedly undermanned.

HBO's smash hit 'Game of Thrones' might make for some very serious television, what with all that blood and death and battling and poisoning and dirty political machinations, but that doesn't mean that the series is without its own special humor, even if it not all of it makes its way into the final product. Turns out, when it comes time to film the small screen version of the beloved George R.R. Martin book series, even 'Game of Thrones' can't get away from tongue-twisting misread lines, a few unplanned pratfalls, and some unexpected getting down.

'Game of Thrones' may not have any new footage to show us at Comic-Con 2014 (they haven't even started filming season 5 yet!), but they didn't show up empty-handed. The HBO series revealed the addition of a few new cast members for the upcoming season, which will see some of the action take place in Dorne, home of the late Prince Oberyn Martell.

The first thing you notice about Freddie Prinze Jr. is his almost manic ability to make analogies between almost any subject and professional wrestling. (And considering that Prinze has worked on and off for WWE over the last few years, this wasn't necessarily surprising.) Prinze is at San Diego Comic-Con in support of 'Star Wars Rebels,' the new animated series that takes place between 'Revenge of the Sith' and the original 'Star Wars.' Prinze plays Kanan, a Jedi who survived 'Revenge of the Sith' who hides his Jedi powers so as to not draw attention to himself.

In a surprise move, this year's Screen Gems Comic-Con panel turned most of its attentions and energies to a film without a cast, a director, or a script in place: the long-teased 'The Last of Us' feature film. The film was officially announced back in March, and producer Sam Raimi and video game creator Neil Druckmann (who is now officially on board to write the script for the film) popped up at this afternoon's panel to talk about the feature film as part of Screen Gems' future-leaning panel.

Sam Raimi was on hand at Comic-Con 2014 today for the Screen Gems panel, where he discussed his involvement in the upcoming adaptation of the 'Last of Us' video game. But that's not all he discussed: seems like Raimi isn't quite done with 'Evil Dead,' the film franchise that kickstarted his career. While we won't be seeing another Raimi-directed 'Evil Dead' film anytime soon, we will be seeing more 'Evil Dead' ... on the small screen.
